A photo from Albany Rural Cemetery

This is the tombstone of John Whipple. He was the man murdered at the Cherry Hill Mansion in Albany N.Y. in the year 1827. I tell his story on my walking Ghost tour and my indoor Ghost Storytelling Show with  Slide Show.
He rests at Albany Rural Cemetery but legend has it that he still walks about inside of and on the grounds of Cherry Hill Mansion in Albany . I would recommend visiting both the beautiful Albany Rural Cemetery and the Cherry Hill Mansion.

Hi folks,

Well I did get back to The Mount in in Leonex Mass (former home of writer Pulitzer winner Edith Wharton).  As you can see from the earlier entries in this blog I took pictures of the bathroom in the Henry James room. I was  inspired to take these photos by a book written by paranormal author John Kuchuba, writer of many books on the paranormal, http://jkachuba.com/. These photos seem to show the image of a silhouette of a female floating above the bathtub with a nimbus around her. See photos in earlier entry.
Well to be a good ghost seeker it was my duty to go back to The Mount and try to debunk My own findings. I made an effort to do this on 9/26/2014. My wife and I took the ghost tour at The Mount and the photos below are of the same wall but at 8:30 pm, it was completely dark outside. The light was the camera flash and or the room light. The pictures with the figure (ghost) in it were taken on 8/25/2014 at 12:30 pm on a very sunny day with the light shining through a window on the far left wall, no curtain on window.
Now as you can plainly see, there is no figure floating above the bathtub. This might indicate to some that the figure in the 8/25/14 was indeed a real ghost, but as a true ghost seeker I must go back again at around 12:30 pm in the afternoon perhaps on a day when the sun is at the same angle and the sun is as bright as it was and take  pictures again to see if the figure was a a true ghost or a trick of light.

I do appreciate any and all who wish to comment on this, please share your comments. I am not a scientist who can claim that I have some undisputed truth; however, as I've said before, I believe we live in an imperfect universe where things beyond our comprehension are indeed possible.

Colin

Ghost picture . Beginers luck???????

Elaine and I were mansion touring on Monday 8/25/2014 and I took this picture this at the home of author Edith Wharton (house name The Mount) in Lenox Mass. in the Berkshires about 40 mins. east of Albany.
This house is known to be haunted ,we got the idea to go there from a book I’m reading by John Kachuba  ,a nationally known author of the paranormal. Look in the bathtub and see if you can see the outline of a woman standing in the tub (or floating above it ). John Kachuba visited this house and wrote a whole chapter about it and in that chapter he said he shot pictures panning this room (the Henry James  room) because he thought this room would most likely be a room to have a ghost but didn't say that anything showed up in his pictures . I took a few pictures panning the room from left to right with the bathroom shot last. I did not see the image at the time I took the picture ,it showed up when I imported the pictures to my Mac .I guess this ghost was busy at the time that Mr. Kachuba was there. I’m going to pursue this one further , there are ghost tours at The Mount and I  will check them out and let you know what I find.
Is it wild or what, I’ve  always had good beginners luck in the past . I’m going to bring this with me on my ghost tours. Please visit The Mount (Edith Wharton's house) 2014 paranormal recap

Intro

                                                                                                          7/28/2014
Hello
My name is Colin and I am a ghost enthusiasts , I would like to welcome all of you to my new blog.
I am currently employed as a ghost storyteller in the in the city of Albany N.Y. . I work for a wonderful company called Ghosts of Albany,  please visit their website at ghostsofalbany.com
I am launching this blog and soon hope to have a website dedicated to seeking ghosts. I do not like the term ghost hunting, ghosts were once living human beings like you and I and were never meant to be hunted. My organization will seek ghosts not hunt them. Our attempt to communicate with them will be mild-mannered and respectful. My belief is that ghost are the spirits of people who have suffered great fright and trauma and the absolute worst way to treat them is with aggression or hyperbole, they must be treated gently and given the sincere impression that we are here to help.
I have friends who I hope to introduce you to in the near future and I do hope you will follow this blog and  the soon-to-be website and on both we will post  our adventures in the Albany N.Y. area,

Thank you
Colin
